Friday 25th June 2004
A discussion group for workplace librarians
We all lead increasingly busy lives, rarely allowing ourselves (or being allowed to take?) time to meet and talk with fellow professionals on issues of mutual concern and interest. If you are working in professional isolation within your own organisation or would benefit from meeting people from other sectors, this session is for you. It is an opportunity to exchange ideas and experience and extend your personal and professional network.
Rediscover the human face of librarianship. Refresh your knowledge, find solutions to your problems, and step back for a morning to see the wood emerge from the trees.
This is not a lecture, not a workshop and not a training course. It is an opportunity to brainstorm topics of mutual interest with colleagues.
Following on from the July 2003 meeting on serials agents, and the December 2002 meeting on licensing, this meeting will attempt to develop a matrix/checklist for people working with serials. This was identified as a potentially valuable tool by previous participants.
An invaluable opportunity to air and share your views
